Abstract:The study of A Journey to the West has a history of over 400 years. Its status cannot be neglected in either social acceptance or academic discussion. From the standard modern academic perspective, the research methods of the novel have undergone the change from traditional to modern ones. And the research content has been deepened and the construction and development of the subject have become the important orientation of the study of the novel in the new period. Generally, the academic research of the novel which represents the modern academic paradigm has been increasingly improved.
