Abstract:After a brief review of the connotation of the concept of Environmental geography, a sorting of the development approaches and the research content is done to investigate the relationship between the environmental geography and the environmental science, and the relationship between environmental geography and the environmental geology. An analysis is
made of the developing trend and the bottle necks it is faced with. Corresponding measures are put forth accordingly: a summa- rization be made of the current fundamental theoretical research so as to construct and improve the whole disciplinary system for this subject; the complementary advantages with other related disciplines be made a fuller use of so that the conjugated effect can be achieved in solving problems; step by step, effort be made to step up the integration between theoretic research and the actual application so as to provide some reference for the cognition of the advantages and distinctive features of the sub- ject.
