Abstract:As for the study of dialectic aesthetics shown in ink-splash and color-splash paintings in ZHANG Daqian’s late years, this paper has adopted the“careful reading method” and focused on the interpretation of these paintings which are somewhat different from those works of his early and middle years. On this basis, it has made an attempt to explain why such artistic form has been famed as legal premise of“transformation” and why its dialectic features are possible. With such possi- bility of these features, this paper has found and constructed the logic process of self-discipline of ZHANG Daqian’s growth in art.
