Abstract:It is stipulated inThe Professional Standards for Primary School Teachersthat primary school teachers should fully understand the characteristics of the primary school student’s physiological structure and psychological changes, and be e- quipped with the abilities to create appropriate learning environment and living conditions for primary pupils, and to properly handle all kinds of emergencies. The purpose of higher vocational college is to train qualified primary school teachers. In order
to emphasize the necessity of offering the course of primary schoolphysical health in higher vocationalcolleges, the article lists lots of evidences, from both home and abroad, theoretic basis, the practical cases, and the disciplinary connections in support of its argumentation. Corresponding suggestions and schemes for offering such courses are presented and it is expected that they can serve as some references for the construction and reform of teacher education courses.
