Abstract: “Zhengshe Painting and Calligraphy Association” was a folk society which was organized by WU Hufan, PAN Boshan, PENG Gongbo, ZHANG Daqian and etc. at the end of1932 and founded at the beginning of1933 in Suzhou. With “practical research of art” as its purpose, it integrated the painting schools of both South and North, absorbed the well-known people in art field, and actively developed the painting and calligraphy. As a result, it became an artistic association of great in- fluence all over the country. ZHANG Daqian successfully entered the Beiping artistic field due to the various exhibition held by Zhengshe, which became the important turning point in his artistic career.
