Abstract: The first edition of Grand Chinese Dictionary was published in1990. For over a decade’s revision, its second edition was born in2010. The second edition had sought for extensive opinions, corrected a lot of mistakes in style, and added some meanings of many characters. And it has achieved a lot. However, due to the wide aspects concerned and a large number of compilers, it still has some problems in meaning interpretation. With its radical part“you(又)” as an example, such prob- lems include the inexact interpretation, failure to collect some meanings, meaning interpretations lacking generation, and in- consistency between interpretations and their examples.
