Abstract:The level of financial agglomeration in Fujian Province is studied, against the six cities in East China as the research background by means of principal component analysis and analytic hierarchy process (ahp) to concuct the measure analysis and comparison.It is found that the trend of financial industry agglomeration in Fujian is taking shape, yet a big gap lies in between compared with the other six provinces of eastern China.Even within the province, there still exist huge gaps in between the nine prefecture-level cities in terms of the degree of financial agglomeration.In order to promote the overall financial gathering level of Fujian Province, first of all, the development of Fuzhou, the regional financial center, should be reinforced, and thus its role of the regional radiation driving force could be brought into full play;secondly, the construction of the alternative cities as a regional financial center should be strengthened, Thirdly, the other cities should speed up their development of the financial economy.
