Abstract:Web survey is used as the predominant method among other auxiliary methods like QQ and phone call survey to probe into the Reader Recommendation Service (RRS) in libraries of 30 undergradate univerisities of Anhui province.It is found that efforts should be stepped up in the following aspects:greater attention be placed on the publicity campaign of the service;a unified system for the name and labeling of the service needs to be put in place and relevant specification of RRS be provided;the recommended source is too limited and the operational procedures are too complicated;due to untimely feedbacks, reader participation is too low.The libraries in colleges and universities need to diversify and enrich their types of recommended sources and find some easy and practical means for the readers to make recommendations thus to integrate and optimize the recommendation system and give timely recommendation feed-backs and give greater attention to the follow-up service so as to do a better job of enhancing the recommendation service.
