Abstract:The stories concerning imperial examinations are one of many types of stories in Strange Tales from Lonely Studio.The geographical distribution of these stories has reflected the features of the regional culture.The stories of coastal places mainly are distributed in the North and centralized.Ghosts and spirits are their main beliefs.The achievers in such examinations are generally in complex relationships with their benefactors.And the stories of inland places are mainly distributed in the South and generally dispersed.They worship human power.And the pure relationships exist in the achievers and their benefactors.The different social human situations and national conditions in coastal and inland places are the important factors leading to such differences.
