The Taoist Expression in theAesthetic Spirit of Emperor Liangwu’s Calligraphy

  • 摘要:梁武帝雅好书法, 在其书论当中, 他推崇钟繇、张芝书法为“巧趣精细, 殆同机神”, 偏爱草书“巧媚争呈”“随态运奇”之姿, 力倡“肥瘦相和, 骨力相称”的书法中和审美观, 并以“逸”“妙”等审美范畴品评名家书风。梁武帝早年信道, 受道教思想的熏陶, 其书法审美思想中也流露出了道教的审美风尚。

    Abstract:Emperor Liangwu adored calligraphy.In his relevant theories, he highly praised Zhong Yao’s and Zhang Zhi’s calligraphic works due to their“elegance and exquisiteness”, preferred to the“ingenious and peculiar”rapid cursive writing, and advocated the mean aesthetic“symmetric”calligraphy.He made comments on many masters’ works with aesthetic taste of“ease”and“ingeniousness”.In his early years, he believed in Taoism and was deeply influenced.So, there is no wonder why his aesthetic thought about calligraphy was immersed with the Taoist fashion.
