摘要:清人黄虞稷将“吴承恩《西游记》”著录在其目录学著作《千顷堂书目》的“地理类”名下,这条信息最终成为章培恒先生否认吴承恩是小说《西游记》作者的一个重要依据。事实上,《千顷堂书目》在分类等问题上并非无懈可击,不少事实证明,以这样一部存在漏洞的目录学著作作为立论基础,似乎缺乏缜密的考量。因此,以此否认吴承恩显得有失公允。

Abstract:The scholar of Qing Dynasty Huang Yuji put the novel A Journey to the West by WuCheng’en under the “ Geographic Class”in his work Qianqingtang’s Catalogue,which served as the reason why Mr.Zhang Peiheng negated Wu as the writer of the novel.As a matter of fact,Huang’s work in terms of classification is not so perfect.It seems to lack carefulconsideration to take such a work with flaws as the theoretical foundation.Accordingly,it is not so fair to negate WuCheng’en.
