Abstract:By use of literature searching, video replay, mathematical statistics, a technical statistics is kept of the five games between the two teams, Shen Bu and Guangdong during the 2010/2011 WCBA final and at the same time a comparative analysis is done from the perspectives of their performance in the use of defense and attack technology. Results show that Shenbu is characterized by a stronger will power, adequate on-the-spot experience, a more sophiscated and flexible use of techniques and tactics, a faster change between attack and defense; while Guangdong has a clear advantage in the under-basket strength, a younger average age and is naturally more athletic, but weaker chemical reaction and less experienced which largely affects their overall strength. The analysis of the pros and cons of each WCBA teams can help promote the advance of Chinese women’s basketball and serve as the theoretical ground and basis for their development in techniques and tactics.
