Abstract:Through consulting massive amount of literature material, visiting quite a few experts and outstanding basketball coaches, a research is made into the psychological personality traits indispensible for top basketball coaches. In particular, efforts were made to investigate issues concerning the on-the-spot directing arts concerning their knowledge of the necessary personality traits and what exactly kind of psychological qualities they need to possess. How to develop such qualities in basketball coaches(especially those young coaches) has become an urgent task to tackle in the modern sports training. Our findings can serve to some extent as the future reference in dealing similar cases in basketball training.
