Abstract:To achieve a sustainable development in the popularization of higher learning, newly-built colleges and universities in western China must direct their efforts on the talents and scientific and technological resources that are needed for the development of west and the local economy, and thus find a compatible path for regional economic development, so as to fulfill the goal of running a university, thus to make contribution to the state’s strategy of strengthening provinces, regions and the country via higher education. In combination with the school-running orientation and goal of development, college scientific periodicals and journals should make full use of the scientific information data bank, to provide a multi-channel, all-round social service for local economic development, which has become a must in college’s journal-running orientation.
