Abstract:Through reading poem collections and historical records, the author has sorted out the farewell poems of North Dynasty. He has probed into them and found out the development track of such kind of poems. Careful reading of poems by WANG Bao and YU Xin helps to know the main features of farewell poems of this period: focus on Northern parts of China, or striking comparison between South and North in landscape description; straightforwardness and excitement in feeling expressions; brevity in form and protruding skipping in narration.
