Abstract:The regional development of Cheng-Yu Economic Zone has brought along with it a lifetime chance for the development of local colleges and universities. Yet at the same time, the new market poses new challenges on the higher vocational education. Higher vocational Colleges in both Chengdu and Chongqing are oriented to serve the local economy on the basis of their local cultural characteristics and contribute to the optimization of regional industrial structure and regional industrial clustering. And by means of dislocation development between the vocational colleges of the two regions, it is hopefull to fulfill the goal of serving the local economic development.
