英语词汇构词法“四构三用”新说

A New Interpretation of “Four Formations and Three Usages”of English Words

摘要:常见构词法有拼缀法、首字母缩略词和缩短词、合成法、转换法等。长久以来，学者们都认为这些构词法处于同一平面，但是这些构词法并不是在同一平面上，英语构词法中的派生法、逆成法和转换法属于用词之法而不是构词法，从而提出构词法“四构三用”新说。

Abstract:Word formation mainly includes affixation, acronymy, abbreviation, compounding, conversion and etc. For a long time, the scholars have thought that these ways of forming words are in the same position, but in fact, they are not. The affixation, back formation and conversion belong to the word usages instead of word formation. Hence, we get the new idea “four formations and three usages”.
