Research Progress on RNAi Technology for Genetic Improvement of Maize

  • 摘要:就RNAi技术在玉米抗病性、品质改良、转化方法等方面的研究进展做简要综述,重点评述RNAi阻断病毒基因表达,提高玉米抗病性;沉默代谢途径中的某些特定基因,提高直链淀粉或氨基酸的含量,改良玉米品质,农杆菌和基因枪介导玉米遗传转化等研究.RNAi技术开辟了玉米遗传改良的新途径.

    Abstract:The research advances of transgenic maize mediated by RNAi in disease resistance, quality improvement and transgenic technology in recent years were summarized with the priority focused on virus gene expression blocked by RNAi to improve disease resistance. Silencing specific genes in metabolic pathways by RNAi has also been used to increase the amylose and amino acid synthesis, thus to improve the quality of maize. Transgenic maize mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens and particle gun was also discussed. RNAi technology opens new possibilities for genetic improvement of maize.
