Abstract:The freedom of press and privacy are the two forms of democracy preached by the West as well as the two fundamental rights of citizens. However, the infringement of privacy by free press, or hindering of freedom of press from privacy has been seen from time to time in today's society. The ways of tackling the sexual scandal of the well-known BBC presenter and the phone-hacking scandal of Murdoch group are of great significance for reference to the standardization of Chinese media.
