Prediction of Amorphous-forming Composition Range forZr-Al-Cu Alloys Based on Extended Miedema’s Model

  • 摘要:为预测Zr-Al-Cu三元合金的非晶形成范围,运用扩展的Miedema模型计算了Zr-Al、Zr-Cu和Al-Cu二元合金的形成焓,结合Toop几何模型,并以Zr为非对称组元,计算了Zr-Al-Cu三元合金的形成焓值.计算结果表明,利用 ΔH amor- ΔH ss≤-2可以较好地预测该体系的非晶形成范围,而且预测的结果与实验结果能较好地吻合.

    Abstract:Extend Miedema’s model has been used to calculate the formation enthalpy of Zr-Al, Zr-Cu and Al-Cu tenrry alloy systems in order to predict the amorphous forming compositions(AFCs)of Zr-Al-Cu ternary alloy system. In this paper, the formation enthalpy of solid solution( Hss)and amorphous phase( Hamor)of Zr-Al-Cu ternary system were calculated by Miedema theory and Toop’s model. The AFCs was determined using Hamor Hss 2 criterion. The calculation results agree well with the available experimental data
