Abstract:Urban parks, as an ideal recreational place, are getting increasingly important for the urban residents in our society. The easy reachability of a park is another important index apart from the other two indices of park area and the number of parks. The reachability analysis based on GIS and AHP can better evaluate the reachability in terms of the spatial position and the residents’ psychological distance in a reasonable and objective manner, which can serve as a reference method and the theoretic ground. Our findings show that the parks of Fuzhou are reasonably distributed with good reachability, but service gaps remain to be filled in certain districts; Compared with the method of direct assignment of service scopes, the weighted Thiessen Polygon can better reflect the reachability of Fuzhou’s parks.
