“Workers, Peasants and Soldiers”: The Readers's Rhetoric ofLiterature and Art Study(1954-1957 )

Literature and Art Study was an important journal in the 1950s and it once exerted great influence on literary youths. With the receptive rhetoric, this paper has analyzed the rhetoric value connoted in the “readers'” identity symbol “workers, peasants and soldiers” in order to show that “readers” strived to get the initiative power of verbal communication with the help of political power. And the guidance of public opinion in public fields made them become an important system force in contemporary literary circle.
