A Probe into the Roots of Usage Differences of the Third-personPronouns between Chinese and English

The academic circle has already noted the difference of the third-person pronouns'usages between Chinese and English. And some theoretical interpretations have been given. As a matter of fact, the difference of the third-person pronouns' usages is the one in cohesive devices of discourse anaphors. The reason why there exists difference of such devices lies in the languages' self-compensating mechanism. Accordingly, the difference of the third-person pronouns between Chinese and English is just the consequence of restriction and adjustment of the languages' self-compensating mechanism.
