Correlation Analysis between Academic Procrastination and Employment Anxiety among Undergraduate Normal Students
Abstract
To find out about the relationship between academic procrastination and employment anxiety among undergraduate normal students, and to provide reference for students’ employment guidance, and psychological health education, a Atotal of210 undergraduate normal students from a normal college were assessed with Questionnaire of Academic Procrastina- tion for Undergraduates, Questionnaire of Obtaining Employment of University Graduate through random sampling method. It was found that68. 1% of the subjects suffered different degrees of academic procrastination, and57. 77% of them were found to have different degrees of employment anxiety. There existed a significantly positive correlation between academic procrasti- nation and employment anxiety. Regression analysis results showed that the academic procrastination and its dimensions could predict employment anxiety. It was strongly advised that multiple channels be found and established to help students properly tackle academic procrastination and employment anxiety thus to improve their employment rate and psychological health.
