Coupling Relationship between Land Use and Eco-environment in Xining City

  • The Xining City was taken as a research area, by constructing the coupling coordination degree model and thecoupling development degree model between the Land Use and the two sub-systems of ecological environment, a study is car- ried out to investigate the coupling relations between the land use and the eco-environment during2004-2014. The results show that: The comprehensive index of land use and eco-environment in Xining undergoes an overall slow gradual rise with slight fluctuation in2004-2014;In general, the coupling development degree of land use and eco-environment in Xining is taking a slowly rising trend, and the degree of coupling is high;The coupling development degree of land use and eco-environment has experienced three stages: intermediate coupling, good coupling and high-quality coupling stage. During the research period, the coupling relationship between the two shows a benign development trend, yet still greater investment is needed in this regard so as to maintain a synchronous development between them and therefore to safeguard the sustainable healthy development.
