On the Markedness and Motivation of Chinese Words “De”,“Dao” and“Ge”
The words“de”,“dao” and“ge” in the Chinese predicate-complement structure all can be called the markers of complement. The markedness of the three is a complicated gradual process. It is the result of interaction among various mo- tivations as metaphors, reanalysis and analogy.
