On Military Apportioned Charge in Tianjin during the Period of Liberation War
Abstract
In1946, the civil war broke out completely. With the worsening economy in the Kuomintang-controlled area, in order to meet the need of war, the national government tried various means to apportion military charge. This led to the strong dissatisfaction from all walks of life in Tianjin. As a result, the Kuomintang regime in Tianjin speeded up its collapse. And in1949, the city was completely liberated.
