Undergraduate Research Assistant Model for Normal University Students

  • view of the weak innovative scientific research abilities of undergraduate students of normal universities and college teachers’ lack of enthusiasm in guiding students to do scientific research, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineer- ing, Neijiang Normal University, has constructed an undergraduate research assistant model for normal university students, in response to the concept of“stratify, classify and grade”, to explore problems like the structural composition, the selection of student research assistants and the process of monitoring and research assistance results evaluation, which not only drastically enhances the students’ innovative ability for scientific research and their spirit of teamwork and at the same time greatly lifts teachers’ pressure of scientific research workload. The model is of realistic value for popularization among similar institutions.
