Bayesian estimation of failure rate and reliability on Burr XII distribution under double type-II hybrid
Abstract
Bayes estimates for Burr XII distribution failure efficiency and reliability are obtained based on square loss and entropy loss functions for double type-II hybrid censoring tests with Gamma and Jeffreys prior distributions of shape parameters. By comparing the estimates of failure rate and reliability under double type-II hybrid censoring test and type-II censoring test. The results show that under double type-II hybrid censoring test, when the prior distribution of shape parameters is Gamma distribution, the Bayesian estimation is better and the error is smaller.
