On the Waste Liquor Recovery of Isopropanol-Cyclohexane in Chemical Laboratory

  • Abstract: The waste liquor recovery and distillation methods of isopropanol-cyclohexane are explored in detail. First with water as extraction agent, the treatment of extraction and distillation is performed over the isopropanol-cyclohexane mixture and the aqueous solution of crude cyclohexane and isopropanol is thus obtained. And after rectification pure cyclohexane and isopropanol containing a little bit of cyclohexane are made ready with the purity reaching up to 99.30% 99.67% and a yield of 69.5%. The isopropanol aqueous solution after rectification and dehydration can be used to produce water-free isopropanol with a purity reaching up to 98.42% and a yield of 67.02%.
