Effect of Space Mutation on SP3 Generation Chlorophyll and Soluble Sugar Content in Impations Balsamina
Abstract
The morphological and physiological traits of 6 SP3-generation autumn Impations balsamina of space mutation were compared with those of another 6 natural plants. The measured physiological indices of the 6 space-mutation treated plants increased significantly with a particularly strong increase detected in chlorophyll A; while the content of soluble sugar decreased sharply. On basis of the negative correlation between chlorophyll A and the soluble sugar content, and by use of grey system theory and statistical regression analysis, a regression model was put in place and a fitted analytical expression of function was also worked out. Such a mathematical relation is of a reasonable predicting power in determining the content of chlorophyll A and soluble sugar.
