Recalibration of Capacity Chart of Oil Tanks
Abstract
By Use of the integral method, a mathematical model of the underground storage tanks is set up, based on which an accurate formula for calculating the deformation indices concerning oil height and oil volume is thus worked out. Then a proximate simplification is done to the model, and through computer search, the relative impact of different deflection parameters is assessed, then by comparison of theoretical calculations against actual data each deflection parameter is determined one by one so that numerical calculation can be made and the calculating formula can be put in practical use, thus to fulfill the purpose of recalibrate the storage tank capacity table.
