On the Development of Social Organizations in the Course of Economic Development Model Shift

By a documentary survey of the relevant data related to social organization development in the course of economic development model shift, an analysis of the statistics from the state bureau of statistics regarding the time sequence and panel data reveals that a rather fast development is observed of the social organizations in China, among which the various kinds of social groups and the non-enterprises run by local people have developed at a particularly fast speed. At the same time, however, certain problems still exist in the structure of the social organization development. So it is of sreat importance to boost local economic development so as to promote the social organization development, and thus to improve the social welfare level in regions whose economic development is lagging behind, government encouragement and support must be increased to stimulate social organization development, in particular, support must be given to the development of social funds and social groups; to reinforce the scale, quality and the macro leading role of the central-level social organizations so as to push them to fully participate in the settling of issues of livelihood and social welfare and to promote a harmonious development between government and civil groups, between politics, economy and society; to strengthen the coordination of various functions and service power of all the social organizations in the course of development so as to improve the quality of their service.
