Research and Practice on College Students’ Extracurricular Sports Activity System

  • College students extracurricular sports activities are important components of University’s sports, but its institutional problem is far from being solved, which has its subjective and objective causes. The subjective causes come from the students’ value orientation, an overly course load and a weak sports consumption awareness while the objective causes lie in the inadequate importance attached to the extracurricular activities and the insufficient sports facilities. In response to such problems, counter strategies are worked out for the systemization development of college extracurricular activities: to optimize the organizational form of college extracurricular activities; to optimize sports administrative mode; to mobilize students’ subjective initiative and to attach greater emphasis to the enhancement of teacher quality.
