The Application of Excel in the Teaching of Programming Theory

Introduced first in the paper were methods and skills concerning the use of Excel for solving programming problems and the differences of the results thus obtained were also investigated. Next, common errors in the application of Excel for solving programming problems were also examined and possible countermeasures are put forth for students to avoid repeating similar mistakes. Finally, the importance for incorporating Excel into the teaching of the programming theory is put under examination.
