OntheDifferencesoftheLogicalStructurebetweenEnglishandChineseDiscours
Abstract
Since the English and Chinese language are two distinctive languages falling two different language families, very naturally differences occur in making sentences and discourses between the two languages, which in turn the logical structure of the two varies. Coupled with some typical examples in translation, a contrastive study of the logical structures of both languages is done from three aspects, including the textual cohesion, coherence and the shift of the textual subject or topic, following which corresponding translation strategies are put forth as well.
